"Hakuna Matata!" is more than just a phrase from a song — it’s the motto of your family adventure with Scenario Travel. The adults, too, will escape the routines of daily life, embracing the spirit of adventure and soaking in the breathtaking views. Day 1. A first encounter with Melman, Pumbaa, and friends
Upon arrival at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport in Nairobi, you will be transported to the elegant boutique hotel Giraffe Manor, nestled in lush greenery. The drive takes about thirty minutes, part of which runs along the edge of Nairobi National Park, offering you a first glimpse of the savannah’s wildlife.
Your adventure begins with an unforgettable meeting with Rothschild’s giraffes, the rarest subspecies of giraffes. These graceful giants roam freely across the hotel grounds, happily approaching guests to enjoy treats. Children will be delighted to feed these majestic animals and, with a bit of luck, receive a "kiss" from the long-necked Melman — the name many young fans of the movie Madagascar will recognise for their favourite giraffe.
In addition to giraffes, you’ll spot playful warthogs, much like the lovable Pumbaa from “The Lion King,” running across the lawns and spreading joy with their lively antics.
Nearby, you can visit the David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust, where children will encounter orphaned baby elephants reminiscent of Dumbo — the flying elephant with big ears from the classic Disney movie. The kids will hear heartwarming rescue stories and watch as these gentle creatures are fed and tucked in for the night.
Day 2 and 3. Children’s safari
Your second day kicks off with a magical breakfast in the company of giraffes. These curious giants will stretch their necks and peek through the windows, eagerly awaiting a tasty treat. After breakfast, you’ll take a short flight from Nairobi, landing at Lewa Downs Airport just an hour later. From here, your adventure truly begins with a thrilling jeep ride through the bush to your accommodation.
Your safari lodge, nestled in a private 35,000-acre rhino conservancy, offers breathtaking views right from the pool, overlooking Hyena Valley, where you can often spot elephants and other savannah dwellers. Hyenas, frequent visitors to the reserve, might remind you of Ed, Banzai, and Shenzi from “The Lion King,” while hornbills soaring nearby will evoke memories of Zazu, Mufasa’s trusted advisor. Whether you're enjoying breakfast or relaxing with a drink in the evening, be sure to visit the famous “Pride Rock,” which inspired the creators of "The Lion King." Here, the vast African landscape stretches before you, filled with the same awe that captured the imagination of the film's writers.
To make your adventure even more exciting, you can explore the area by mountain bike, go horse riding, or embark on a guided walking safari with experienced rangers, tracking rhinos through the wild terrain — turning your stay into an unforgettable experience for the whole family.
Day 4 and 5. Family African safari
You’ll take a chartered flight to your next destination on the fourth day. Welcome to the heart of northern Kenya, a stunning and untamed land near the Samburu National Reserve and Buffalo Springs. Your luxurious lodge, designed in Moroccan style, sits high above the Ewaso Ng'iro River, offering sweeping views of the beautiful African landscape from your spacious room.
Embark on a safari to track down the “Samburu Special Five”: Grevy’s zebra, reticulated giraffe, Somali ostrich, gerenuk, and oryx Beisa. Spotting these rare animals is a real stroke of luck. You’ll also have the chance to observe majestic lions in their natural habitat and meet the Samburu warriors, members of the local tribal community, who will share their fascinating traditions.
In the evening, take a leisurely camel ride as the sun sets over the savannah, revealing panoramic views from the rocky cliffs — pure African magic! For those craving a more adventurous experience, family-friendly quad biking offers fun for all ages. And for an even more extraordinary experience, spend the night camping under the stars. Imagine lying beneath a sky filled with thousands of twinkling stars, with the enchanting sounds of the African bush surrounding you.
If you’re visiting between January and June, you might even have the chance to see the Leo constellation, adding a special touch to your African adventure.

Day 6 and 7. The African "Circle of Life"
In the morning, you'll fly from Samburu to the Masai Mara National Reserve and settle into a luxurious camp with private pools and spacious tents with glass-fronted facades.
Here, you’ll be fully immersed in the magic of African nature. On these vast plains, you'll witness the famous African "circle of life" in its purest form, where lions, zebras, buffalo, and many other animals live together in perfect harmony with the natural world. One of the highlights is the resident lion pride — the true rulers of these lands. Their majestic roars can even be heard at night, right from your tent.
Regardless of age, you’ll feel the true spirit of an explorer as you track the paw prints of the "king of beasts". Skilled spotters will unveil the secrets of the bush, help you find the "Little Five" (elephant shrew, ant lion, rhinoceros beetle, buffalo weaver, and leopard tortoise), and even show you how to craft a toothbrush from the bush with your own hands.
For adults, the evening safari, complete with sunset drinks, is the perfect way to wind down after an exhilarating day.
Day 8. Rest and farewell to Kenya
Today marks the day to say "goodbye" to Kenya — or, as they say in Swahili, "kwaheri". But the adventure isn’t over yet! In the morning, you’ll fly back to Nairobi, returning to where your safari adventure began. Upon landing, you’ll be whisked away to the oasis of relaxation at The Retreat at Giraffe Manor.
Here, you can unwind in luxurious surroundings: enjoy the comfort of your spacious room, savour exquisite local cuisine and drinks, and take full advantage of the spa, fitness centre, and infinity pool overlooking the giraffe sanctuary. Relax and reminisce about the incredible moments of your journey before your flight home.
