Flights in Antarctica.
Within the continent, all flights are carried out on board the Basler BT-67, an upgraded version of the DC-3. These aircraft are specially equipped with the latest avionics for Antarctic operations and are fitted with skis designed for landing on snow and ice.
Day 1. Cape Town - Antarctica.
Your expedition will begin with a 5-hour flight from Cape Town to Antarctica on a comfortable passenger Airbus with business class service. You'll fly over thousands of icebergs, cross the Arctic Circle, and land on the private ice airstrip Wolf Fang. Upon landing, you'll be transferred to one of two luxury camps amidst snowy landscapes, where you'll be invited to stroll around the Oasis, enjoy the silence, or try a cocktail with a 10,000-year-old ice cube.
Day 2. Exploring the сamps
After checking into the cozy “space capsules,” a busy day awaits you. You can decide how to spend it: from a relaxing massage and yoga to hiking in the mountains and glaciers. For extreme sports enthusiasts, climbing to the top of Nunatak and ice climbing are available. In between activities, you can listen to fascinating stories from a team of polar explorers about little-known events from the history of Antarctica and their world-record-breaking expeditions.
Day 3. Emperor penguins and chicks
The period of the birth of emperor penguin chicks is a unique and touching moment in the life of these majestic birds that attract the attention and admiration of observers worldwide.
In November/December, you can see more than 14,000 pairs of penguins and their newly hatched chicks - a cute and noisy sight that provides an unforgettable experience and a deep sense of connection with nature. So few visitors come to this colony that the chicks are fearless of people and often try to get very close. In turn, observers must be responsible, follow IAATO instructions, and stay at least 5 meters away from penguins.
Watching fluffy chicks' first steps and interactions with their parents is a breathtaking sight, full of tenderness and trembling moments. You will be among the lucky few who will see this unique event.
Day 4. Exploration of Antarctica
Echo camp: Spend the day exploring the nearby mountains with a light hike overlooking the endless ice plain, followed by a champagne picnic. Then, accompanied by your guide, journey through the snow and ice to an incredible viewpoint, offering a stunning panorama of the mountains you've just explored.
Camp Whichaway: Spend the day exploring the icy waves near the camp and the surreal ice tunnels. Travel with your guide through the snow and ice to the observation deck, which offers a magical view of the natural formations you've been observing.
