"Inspired by astronauts, used by explorers," - Echo is a futuristic oasis in the heart of the Drigalski mountain range, where the scenery resembles another planet.
Residence
Surrounded by some of the most breathtaking views on the planet, Camp Echo is famous for its "sky capsules." Made of composite materials that can withstand harsh environmental conditions, these six heated sleeping units are equipped with floor-to-ceiling windows and are designed for two guests.

Culinary delights
Despite its remoteness, Camp Echo delights guests with exquisite cuisine. The chefs use fresh ingredients from South African suppliers and create dishes that meet the highest culinary standards. Three-course dinners are accompanied by premium wines from the best wineries in Cape Town. The menu is developed considering each guest's food preferences and requirements.
Echo activities:
Rock climbing and rappelling. The peaks of the seven nearby nunataks offer hiking and climbing opportunities of varying difficulty.
Ice climbing. Using ice axes and climbing crampons, you will be able to climb the walls of the glacier at Henriksen Nunatak.
Fatbikes. Riding bicycles with wide tyres through the Antarctic landscape.
Skiing. The opportunity to cross snowy deserts on cross-country skis.
Ice Cave. You will have an incredible chance to explore blue ice caves and tunnels.
Snowmobiling. Exciting snowmobile rides that open up new views and horizons.
Antarctic jeep safari. You will go on safari in a jeep adapted for Antarctic conditions, making it ideal for exploring glaciers. UIAGM's highly trained guides will lead you through the icy expanses, explain glacier formation, and share facts from the region's rich history of exploration.
Picnic with champagne. You'll find yourself at the top of the mountain with champagne in hand - an unusual picnic worth experiencing at least once in your life!
