The hospitality industry constantly evolves, and 2025 promises to bring many impressive openings! From historic European mansions to secluded safari lodges in Africa, from futuristic skyscrapers in Asia to eco-friendly resorts in the most picturesque corners of the planet — these hotels are setting new standards for premium travel.

If you dream of being one of the first guests at these exclusive destinations, we have prepared a list of the most anticipated openings in 2025.

The Carlton Milan, Italy

The Carlton Milan will be the second brand hotel in Milan after the opening of Rocco Forte House Milan in September 2024. Following a complete renovation, one of Milan's most iconic hotels will reopen at the end of summer 2025, offering guests refined luxury, impeccable service, and a unique location in the heart of the fashion capital. The Carlton Milan will feature 70 rooms and suites, a restaurant and lounge bar, a wellness centre with a gym and spa, and a rooftop bar with a 360-degree city view.

Six Senses Milan, Italy

Another eagerly awaited opening in Milan is the Six Senses Hotel. Located in the heart of the Brera district, this hotel will demonstrate the brand’s commitment to sustainability. The Earth Lab, a restaurant in a quiet inner courtyard, will feature seasonal gastronomy made from the finest farm-fresh ingredients. Out of 68 rooms, 15 will be suites, and 2 will have private plunge pools. The hotel will also feature a spa, a rooftop bar, and a panoramic pool.

Huka Lodge, New Zealand

The legendary Huka Lodge, known for its secluded atmosphere, closed last year for renovations to celebrate its centenary and offer an even higher level of luxury. The lodge will reopen in March 2025 with the style befitting its reputation, as even Queen Elizabeth II visited several times. This riverside resort will delight guests with spacious residences, gastronomic masterpieces, and an expanded spa area featuring an ice shower and pool.

For those dreaming of an ultra-luxury safari experience, Few & Far Luvhondo will be a true discovery. This innovative eco-lodge with 6 stunning villas built on rocks offers a secluded getaway in one of the most biologically diverse regions — the UNESCO-listed Vhembe Biosphere Reserve. One of the lodge’s signature features is “Solfari,” a solar-powered cable car that allows guests to observe nature from above.

Waldorf Astoria Osaka, Japan

Osaka, a dynamic metropolis known for its culinary scene, will be home to the new Waldorf Astoria, set to become a true gem of the city. The hotel will debut in time for Expo 2025 Osaka and will captivate guests with panoramic views, refined Japanese hospitality, exclusive restaurants, and spacious rooms. Waldorf Astoria Osaka will occupy 12 floors of a 39-storey skyscraper in the southern district of the Umekita Second project and will feature 252 guest rooms.

Nekajui, Peninsula Papagayo, Costa Rica

The hotel’s name translates to “lush garden,” and it truly lives up to the name: Nekajui is located on the Papagayo Peninsula, where Costa Rican law mandates that at least 70% of the land remains untouched. This secluded resort embodies the spirit of eco-luxury. It is steeped in local traditions, from the spa, inspired by indigenous philosophies, to using local wood and stone in construction. Spacious villas surrounded by tropical forests, a jungle spa, world-class gastronomy, and adventure activities, from diving to wildlife watching, make Nekajui one of the year's most anticipated openings.

Silversea, Patagonia

Silversea Cruises is building the southernmost hotel in the world, located in Puerto Williams, Chile — the southernmost city on Earth. The 150-room hotel, expected to open in 2025, will offer views of the snow-capped mountains and include a restaurant, bar, lounge, and fitness centre. The souvenir shop will feature handmade goods and works of art by local artists and artisans. This is the perfect starting point for a major Antarctic expedition.

Six Senses London, United Kingdom

Six Senses will transform the former Whiteley’s department store into a hotel in the art deco style, blending British classics with modern minimalism. It promises to become a landmark destination for conscious travellers. It will include 109 rooms and 14 residences, a unique Six Senses Place, a private wellness centre for club members, a fitness centre, a 20-metre indoor pool, an Alchemy bar, and more.

This place will offer a tranquil retreat amid the bustling energy of Bangkok. Thai traditions will blend seamlessly with new technologies, reflecting the dynamic future of Bangkok. The hotel's top floor will feature a 389-square-metre penthouse, while the 23rd floor will house the Club Lounge, a retreat offering an atmosphere of privacy and elegance.

Rosewood Doha, Qatar

The two skyscrapers, designed with inspiration from coral reefs, will house 155 rooms and private residences. The hotel will also include Asaya, a holistic wellness centre. This place will be perfect for both business trips and those seeking a secluded retreat.

Oberoi Rajgarh Palace, India

A palace hotel in the heart of India! Built by Maharaja Hinu Pat Shah in the late 1800s, the building is a historical gem surrounded by protected trees. The hotel is ideally located for safaris in the Panna Tiger Reserve, visiting the ancient monuments of Khajuraho, and relaxing walks. Oberoi Rajgarh Palace will include a lakeside spa, where guests can arrive by boat, just like royalty.

Nihi Rote, Rote Island, Indonesia

The Elegant NIHI Sumba will be located in a secluded corner of Rote Island in West Timor, one of the southernmost parts of Asia. The hotel will feature 25 villas with thatched roofs, pools, and direct access to pristine beaches. The resort will offer a range of activities both on land and at sea, including surfing and excursions to untouched areas of Rote.

2025 promises many impressive openings, and each of these hotels offers something unique — whether it’s an eco-friendly approach, luxurious restaurants, or exclusive locations.
