On June 8th, a new excursion train was launched, operating twice daily on Saturdays through the Yorkshire Dales National Park in northern England. You'll be treated to stunning views of green hills. Though delayed, the magnificent new Italian super-luxury train, Orient Express – La Dolce Vita, is set to welcome its first passengers next year.
Created by the French hotel group Accor, the train is aimed at travelers who appreciate design, as it is beautifully decorated in the style of 1960s Italian decor, art, and architecture.
The train will traverse Italy from north to south on 6 regular routes, showcasing the beauty of the country. Among its 11 cars, there will be a stylish "bar car" with live music and games, 12 luxurious wood-lined cabins, and 18 master suites with double beds, sofas, armchairs, and private bathrooms. Travelers will enjoy five-star service, Italian gastronomy, regional and seasonal products, and the finest wines.
The cost is approximately $2000 per person, with international routes to Paris and Istanbul to be added later.
