There is a wild and primal side to each of us that we have long forgotten.
This tour will awaken it! Picture yourself floating in a hot air balloon at dawn, sleeping beneath the vast expanse of the Milky Way, or locking eyes with a gorilla – stepping into a real-life documentary about Africa.
You will immerse yourself in the untamed wilderness of the Serengeti, feeling the earth’s pulse beneath your feet as millions of hooves stir the dust of the Great Migration. Here, you’ll witness the raw power of predators as lions silently stalk their prey amidst the tall grass. The savannah will teach you to understand its language: the rustle of rare bird wings or the faint thud of a buffalo herd. Every step will carry the spirit of exploration, leading you to the ancient volcanoes whose majestic silhouettes rise above Rwanda’s verdant hills. Travel scenario
Day 1. Arrival in Tanzania
Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport, you will be transferred to the vibrant town of Arusha, the administrative and tourist hub of its namesake region in Tanzania. Here, you’ll check into one of our carefully chosen stylish hotels. Relax after your journey with panoramic views of Mount Meru or manicured gardens, indulge in the spa, or enjoy the modern interiors and exceptional service.
Day 2. Wildlife in the Serengeti
Today, you’ll journey to Serengeti National Park, the heart of the African safari. The Serengeti epitomises the quintessential image of Africa that comes to mind when you close your eyes: endless plains, acacia trees silhouetted against the sunset, and herds of wild animals.
You’ll stay in a mobile campsite that moves harmoniously with nature, seamlessly blending into the landscape and leaving minimal traces on the plains. This mobility ensures the camp remains near the heart of the migration.
Be sure to wear comfortable shoes: you can embark on a walking safari right from the camp and delve deep into this untamed, living wilderness.
In the evenings, the camp transforms into an island of comfort: soft, ambient lighting, a dinner prepared with fresh, local ingredients, and the quiet of the savannah, broken only by the whispers of the stars and the symphony of nature.
Day 3 — 5. Safari in the Serengeti National Park
Why is the Serengeti a must-see? This park is known all over the world for its Great Migration. Imagine: millions of wildebeest, zebras, and gazelles move in a single stream, raising clouds of dust with their hooves. Although migration follows a fairly predictable cycle, its exact timing depends on weather conditions, especially rainfall. From December to April, the Ndutu Plains and the southeastern Serengeti are home to the mass birth of wildebeest, which peaks in January and February. This is a time of abundance for predators such as lions and hyenas that prey on the young. In mid-to-late August, there is an opportunity to witness an epic spectacle — the crossing of the Mara River by animals on the border between the Serengeti and the Masai Mara.
The name "Serengeti" is translated from the Maasai language as "endless plains." And this is true: the horizons go to infinity wherever you are, and the sky seems immense.
These days, you will move around the park with a mobile camp, following incredible scenes from the life of animals. Every day you will go on safari to see all the representatives of the "big five": lions, elephants, rhinos, buffalo and leopards. You will have the opportunity to climb to the height of a bird's flight in a hot air balloon and take impressive pictures at dawn.
And at night, you will see myriads of stars overhead. The absence of city lights creates ideal conditions for observing the Milky Way.
Day 6. Flight from Serengeti to Kigali
Today, you will take a direct flight from Serengeti National Park to Kigali, the capital of Rwanda, followed by a transfer to a boutique hotel. Spacious and elegantly designed rooms and villas, some with private pools and premium amenities, await your arrival.
The on-site restaurant offers a fusion of Rwandan and international cuisines, complemented by scenic views of the saltwater pool and lush gardens.
The hotel provides a range of wellness and relaxation options, including spa treatments and wellness programmes. Guests can immerse themselves in local culture through curated tours and activities, such as learning to brew banana beer or joining a food tour.
Those keen on exploring the city can visit vibrant markets and contemporary art galleries and engage with local communities to better understand Rwandan life.

Day 7. Journey to the volcanoes of Rwanda
In the morning, you will travel to the foot of Rwanda's majestic volcanoes. The route takes you through picturesque hills and charming villages, culminating at a cosy lodge near Volcanoes National Park. A helicopter transfer can be arranged for those wishing to reduce travel time.
Nestled in the natural amphitheatre of an ancient volcanic crater and surrounded by lush green forests, the lodge offers breathtaking views of the peaks of Bisoke, Karisimbi, and Mikeno. Each of its six villas blends modern comfort with traditional Rwandan design, providing privacy and stunning panoramas.
Staying here means contributing to the preservation of the ecosystem by planting trees, supporting local communities, and aiding in the protection of mountain gorillas. From the lodge's grounds, you can enjoy birdwatching, nature walks, or explore the surrounding environment, immersing yourself in the beauty of this unique African landscape.
Day 8 — 10. Volcanoes National Park and gorilla encounter
Volcanoes National Park is home to mountain gorillas, golden monkeys, buffalo, hyenas, and over 170 bird species inhabiting its dense forests. Situated in north-western Rwanda, it occupies the ancient ecosystem of the Virunga volcanoes.
Gorilla Trekking
Your day begins with a briefing: the rules for interacting with gorillas will be explained, and a suitable trekking route will be chosen based on difficulty. A guide will lead you along trails, which can be steep and slippery, to a group of gorillas. You’ll spend an hour observing their behaviour, from the dominant silverback to curious and playful young ones.
During an unforgettable 60 minutes in the presence of gorillas, it is essential to follow the rules: maintain a distance of 7–10 metres and remain quiet. If a gorilla approaches, stay calm and follow the guide’s instructions.
Additional activities include trekking with golden monkeys, climbing a volcano, or visiting the grave of Dian Fossey, who devoted her life to gorilla conservation.
Every September, the Kwita Izina ceremony takes place. It celebrates newborn gorillas with a traditional naming event featuring music, dance, and a focus on gorilla conservation.
Day 11. Farewell to Africa
