Today, you explore Thimphu, the beating heart of Bhutan's Himalayas.
Thimphu exudes medieval charm with vibrant facades adorning age-old buildings. There is a rule that even new constructions must reflect the shapes and styles of traditional Bhutanese architecture. This capital blends natural splendor with rich culture, immersing us in local history and customs.
Your first stop is Chagri Gompa, an ancient Buddhist monastery perched atop a steep hillside. Be prepared for a winding uphill trek; comfortable shoes and clothes are essential. As we ascend, let tranquility envelop us, prayers from resident monks echoing peace. From this sacred vantage, marvel at the extraordinary mountain views unfurling before us.
Next, we visit Pangri Zampa, a 16th-century monastic citadel housing an esteemed astrology school.

Each dance has its unique name and rhythm and expresses timeless messages: combating evil spirits, valuing life's fleeting moments, seeking harmony, and respecting nature's interconnectedness. Colorful costumes and masks, intricate movements, and traditional music immerse you into the world of Bhutanese traditions and reveal the philosophy of ancient customs, forever remaining in your memories.
After the performance, explore the capital's charming lanes, where every street and every house is imbued with the history and traditions of the ancestors of the mysterious kingdom.
