Midway, pause to spin the prayer wheels and capture breathtaking views of the monastery. Thimphu exudes medieval charm with vibrant facades adorning age-old buildings. There is a rule that even new constructions must reflect the shapes and styles of traditional Bhutanese architecture. This capital blends natural splendor with rich culture, immersing us in local history and customs.
Your first stop is Chagri Gompa, an ancient Buddhist monastery perched atop a steep hillside. Be prepared for a winding uphill trek; comfortable shoes and clothes are essential. As we ascend, let tranquility envelop us, prayers from resident monks echoing peace. From this sacred vantage, marvel at the extraordinary mountain views unfurling before us.
Next, we visit Pangri Zampa, a 16th-century monastic citadel housing an esteemed astrology school.
Finally, Kuensel Phodrang Park beckons with the towering giant sacred statue of Dordenma Buddha. This gilded bronze monument, soaring over 50 meters high, radiates virtue, harmony, and serenity.
Get amazed by Bhutanese folk dances and the musical instruments accompanying the performance. Each dance has its unique name and rhythm and expresses timeless messages: combating evil spirits, valuing life's fleeting moments, seeking harmony, and respecting nature's interconnectedness. Explore Motithang Takin Preserve and meet the shaggy takin, a sacred animal and the national symbol of Bhutan. Experience the spirit of art and tradition at the Textile Museum, the Folk Heritage Museum, the Traditional School of Arts and Crafts, and the Institute of Traditional Medicine.
Visit the Buddhist monastery and fortress in the north of the city - Tashichho Dzong. If you have the energy and time, roam through the Zangdopelri Monastery and the Jungshi handmade paper factory.

After breakfast, transfer to the airport for a flight to Kathmandu. Our guide greets you warmly at arrival, escorting you to an elegant yet incredibly atmospheric hotel - an oasis of calm within the bustling city's core.
Following relaxation, your guide takes you on a sightseeing tour. First is the Temple of the Living Goddess Kumari, the embodiment of goddess Taleju Bhawani herself. Though interior access is denied, the courtyard's beautiful wood and stone carvings are allowed viewing. At certain hours, Kumari emerges onto the balcony, silently blessing all present and leaves.
The tour proceeds to Pashupatinath and Boudhanath next. Pashupatinath, Nepal's most revered Hindu shrine on Bagmati River's banks - an ancient Lord Shiva worship site for prayers and rituals. Boudhanath, a grand Buddhist temple atop a hill overlooking Kathmandu, famed for its massive stupa surrounded by many prayer wheels and Buddhist deity images.

Two stops during our flight add a thrill to the journey.
Stop one is Lukla town (2860 metres), home to the world's most dangerous airstrip with just 527 meters long runway, extremely short and 12% incline steep.
A second stop at the observation deck (3963meters) lets you enjoy a snow-capped Everest view and take memorable photographs.
