Travel scenario
Day 1. Arrival in Nairobi
Arrive in Nairobi, where you’ll be warmly welcomed at the airport and transferred to a luxurious boutique hotel.
For those seeking exceptional service, this hotel, overlooking the Ngong Hills, captures colonial elegance with a modern touch. Spacious rooms with terraces, gourmet dining, and a luxury spa provide everything needed for rejuvenation. Each guest is assigned a personal butler, delighted to meet your every need — from arranging logistics to planning a candlelit dinner under the stars.
Day 2 — 3. Tsavo West National Park
After a transfer to Nairobi’s Wilson Airport, you’ll take a 50-minute flight to Tsavo West National Park, right in the heart of Kenya’s natural beauty. If you’re a connoisseur of scenic drives, you can also reach the park by car in around five hours.
Next, you’ll transfer to an elegant camp in the wilderness, harmoniously situated within the African landscape. This luxurious safari camp is nestled among Tsavo West’s natural water reservoirs and green plains, offering views of the volcanic Chyulu Hills. Elephants, hippos, and other wildlife often gather by the water to drink, providing an unforgettable experience as nature surrounds you. The attentive staff ensures that your stay is nothing short of extraordinary.
Tsavo West is one of Africa’s largest protected areas, with vast landscapes covered in lava fields and volcanic cones. Known as the “land of lava, springs, man-eaters, and magical sunsets,” the park is a remarkable haven for wildlife.
In the wilds of Tsavo West, you may encounter a range of animals, including leopards, cheetahs, buffaloes, rhinos, giraffes, zebras, lions, and other iconic savannah inhabitants. It’s also home to a variety of smaller mammals, including mongooses, hyraxes, dik-diks, and nocturnal porcupines.
The park is famous for its “red” Tsavo elephants. Although these are ordinary African elephants, their skin takes on a red hue from the park’s distinctive red dust, which they love to bathe in.
Some of Tsavo West’s main attractions include Mzima Springs, home to hippos and crocodiles; the Shetani Lava Flow, named from the Swahili word for “devil,” where you can observe fascinating lava formations; and Chaimu Crater, which offers breathtaking panoramic views.
Day 4 — 5. Amboseli Park
In the morning, enjoy a scenic hour-and-a-half transfer from Tsavo West to the lodge in Amboseli Park, which offers breathtaking views of the savannah and Mount Kilimanjaro.
Once settled, you'll explore Amboseli Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. This picturesque area lies in the shadow of majestic Kilimanjaro, offering fantastic views of its snow-capped peaks. Amboseli, located in the Loitokitok District, covers approximately 392 km² and is part of a vast ecosystem that extends all the way into Tanzania.
The park thrives on underground springs fed by the melting ice of Kilimanjaro, creating lush oases amidst the dry plains. The landscape shifts dramatically from swampy wetlands to dusty plains.
Amboseli is widely considered one of the best places for elephant watching. You can observe impressive herds of African elephants roaming freely against the stunning backdrop of Kilimanjaro. Alongside elephants, you may spot members of Africa’s "big five" – lions, buffalo, rhinos, and leopards. This is also a perfect place to meet the Maasai tribes and gain insight into their rich culture!
Day 6 — 8. Maasai Mara
The flight to the Maasai Mara National Reserve takes about an hour. After that, you’ll immerse yourself in the African savannah. We will select the ideal lodge or camp for you depending on the season and your preferences.
The Maasai Mara is one of Africa’s most renowned parks, captivating travellers with its vast scale and diverse wildlife. The annual Great Migration here reaches its peak between July and October, when millions of wildebeest, zebra, and gazelle cross the Mara River, risking encounters with crocodiles and other predators. Within the park, you can also see all members of the “big five.”
The Mara Conservancies surround the park, offering opportunities for a more private safari experience. Visitor numbers are strictly controlled in these conservation areas, which becomes particularly noticeable during the high season when the Maasai Mara can be crowded with tourists. By staying at a lodge within the Mara Conservancies, you’ll be able to observe wildlife in a less crowded setting, embark on night safaris, and still have easy access to the Mara River to witness the migration. However, tourists staying inside the main Maasai Mara Reserve are not permitted to enter the Mara Conservancies, making them exclusive and tranquil spots for travellers.
Take a sunrise hot-air balloon ride over the Maasai Mara savannah to admire the vast landscapes and herds of animals from above.
While in the reserve, you’ll also have the opportunity to meet members of the Maasai tribe, who will share insights into their culture and perform traditional dances.
Day 9. Return to Nairobi and Departure
Fly from the Maasai Mara to Nairobi. Transfer to the international airport for departure.
