Day 1. Arrival in Cairo
Upon arrival in Cairo, check in at a 5-star hotel close to the pyramids.
Stay in deluxe rooms featuring lavish marble bathrooms, handcrafted furniture, and private balconies offering stunning views of the gardens or the pyramids. The stone tombs of the great pharaohs’ look especially enchanting at night under the beams of light. To re-energize yourself from the trip, you could dip in the open-air swimming pool, partake in sumptuous massages and treatments offered at the grand spa, or taste dishes from different restaurants.
Day 2. Cairo - Luxor
Today, you will start a day with a trip through Ancient Egypt. You will be taken to the era of the Pharaohs and will visit the places 4-5 thousand years old.
The first place to visit is a symbol of Egypt and the only remaining wonder of the 7 Wonders of the World known as the Egyptian pyramids of Giza, built during the XXVI-XXIII centuries BC. Their grandeur and significance captivate the imagination, as this is where legends and myths that have endured for millennia were born in ancient times. And still, no one knows how these vast buildings were constructed and what secrets they keep within their walls.
You will have an opportunity to explore the tombs of the ancient rulers in the Great Pyramid of Cheops (Khufu), Khafre, and Menkaure. An enormous statue watches over Giza’s pharaohs’ peace palace and pyramid grounds called the Great Sphinx, which has the body of a lion and a human head cut from a single limestone rock.
After that, you will go to ancient Egypt's initial capital, Memphis, located on the west bank of the Nile River. Memphis used to be the economic, religious, and cultural centre at that time. You will tour what remains of this former grand city and check out its main attractions. Among the most significant antiquities belonging to Memphis is an 11-metre-long statue of Pharaoh Ramesses II lying on its back in a museum near Mit Rahinah village.
Except for the statue, the area has unique monuments. Among the findings in this particular location are an 8-metre-long alabaster sphinx and a second colossus of Ramesses II carved out of pink granite. Additionally, there are many incomplete statues and architectural elements such as columns and steles.
Day 3. Cairo - Luxor
In the morning, you will visit the Cairo Museum, home to the world's most extensive collection of ancient Egyptian art. Each of the one hundred rooms in the museum has its unique features.
As soon as you step over the threshold, it will feel like diving into ancient civilizations' worlds, where each artefact is evidence of the rich history of Egypt. You’ll get to see the famous “Tutankhamun’s Treasures” - things found inside the pharaoh’s grave, such as an 11kg mask made out of gold and other items like sarcophagi, jewellery, and household items. The majestic look and mightiness of the ancient leaders can be felt from the statues of Pharaohs. Amulets and charms, also ancient religious objects, will make the mystical rituals of Egyptians vivid. Mummies and sarcophagi will disclose mummification secrets and belief in life after death, and works of art will introduce you to unique Egyptian painting and creativity.
After a visit to the Cairo Egyptian Museum, you will be transferred to the airport for your flight to Luxor, where you will be accommodated at an opulent 5-star hotel situated by the banks of the Nile. The place offers international standards, with tranquillity being its main theme. There are elegant rooms that face palm trees or the swimming pool; others have panoramic views over the river. In addition, there is a luxurious spa facility, an authentic hookah café, and a live music lounge terrace. The resort has 7 bars and restaurants serving a variety of international cuisine.
Day 4. Luxor - Hurghada
Today, your day will start with a fantastic adventure – a hot air balloon flight over The Valley of the Kings at dawn. You will rise in the sky before sunrise and see how the first rays light up the tombs of the pharaohs, creating a magical atmosphere of a fairy tale. You will drift over the charming morning landscapes of Luxor with its temples and green fields.
Once you finish an incredible flight above the Valley of the Kings, you will travel to the modern City of the Living - Luxor on the east bank of the Nile and the mystical City of the Dead - Thebes on the west bank.
When you tour the City of the Living, you will see the Karnak and Luxor temples of Amun connected by a three-kilometre paved Sphinx Avenue. You will stroll amidst colossal columns, statues, and obelisks of pharaohs, feeling the weight of time in these sacred places.
While in the City of the Dead, you will experience the atmospheric places of ancient Egypt as you walk around in the Theban necropolis, which has the Kings Valley with the tombs of the pharaohs and the Queens Valley, where their wives and children were buried. Other sites include a shrine at the foot of the cliffs - the Mortuary Temple of Hatshepsut, the Colossi of Memnon - two massive 700-ton stone statues representing Pharaoh Amenhotep III, and a funerary temple of Ramesses III - Medinet Habu.
After lunch, you will be transferred to Hurghada and accommodated in one of the best hotels in the city.
