Located within Volcanoes National Park, Bisate is renowned for its breathtaking views of the Bisoke, Karisimbi, and Mikeno volcanoes. The lodge comprises 6 villas designed to resemble giant bird nests nestled among the trees. Each villa is crafted with meticulous attention to detail and designed as an homage to Rwandan royalty. The villas feature spacious bathrooms, elegant furnishings, and panoramic windows that frame the majestic volcanoes.

In the main lodge area, you’ll find a wine cellar, a library, a restaurant, and a spa, where you can unwind after a day full of adventures.

Situated on the edge of one of Africa’s oldest national parks, Volcanoes National Park, Bisate offers guests the rare opportunity to observe mountain gorillas in their natural habitat. This region is home to hundreds of these endangered primates, as well as golden monkeys, bushbucks, buffalo, occasional elephants, and more than 200 bird species.

The lodge is deeply committed to conserving the local ecosystem. Since its opening in 2017, Bisate has implemented reforestation programmes and community support initiatives. Guests are even invited to contribute by planting a tree!

Bisate’s culinary traditions reflect its dedication to nature and local culture. The restaurant serves dishes made with ingredients sourced from its own organic garden or purchased from local farmers.
