Chobe Game Lodge is a pioneering lodge situated on the banks of the famous Chobe River, one of the main tributaries of the Zambezi River. Built in 1973, it is the oldest lodge in this region and in Botswana.
The lodge is ideally located within the Chobe National Park, allowing guests to explore the wildlife from the early hours of the morning!
Chobe Game Lodge features 40 beautifully designed and spacious rooms. Each room is air-conditioned and has its own terrace with a view of the Chobe River. For those seeking the utmost privacy, the lodge also offers 4 river-view suites, each with its own private pool and separate living area.
Guests can unwind in various complimentary bars and lounges or by the pool, as well as enjoy lunch and dinner at the on-site café. You can even arrange for a delightful snack to be served right on the boat during a river cruise!
A 250-metre wooden walkway along the river allows for leisurely strolls and wildlife observation. The lodge also offers game drives in 4x4 vehicles, so guests can witness the vast herds of animals and numerous bird species.
In 2014, the lodge introduced electric boats and solar-powered safari vehicles, making the safari experience even more eco-friendly.
Additionally, the lodge boasts a modern gym, a stylish spa, and a large swimming pool. Guests are offered tours to learn about the innovative environmental projects as well as fascinating cultural tours to local communities.
Children of all ages are welcome here.
