Camp Okavango is a safari camp situated on the remote island of Nxaraga, nestled in the heart of the majestic Okavango Delta.
This UNESCO World Heritage Site is the world’s largest inland delta, a labyrinth of deep lagoons, hidden canals, and magnificent lakes.
The camp is designed to accommodate 24 guests, ensuring an atmosphere of privacy and tranquillity. Guests can stay in one of 11 cosy Safari suites, each built on wooden platforms and surrounded by the lush greenery of the delta. Each suit is equipped with everything needed for a comfortable stay, including spacious bathrooms with stunning natural views and terraces offering panoramic vistas of the waterways and vibrant vegetation. For families, there is a dedicated suit featuring two bedrooms.
Camp Okavango impresses not only with its comfort but also with its thoughtful design. The main area of the camp features a network of wooden walkways that connect spacious lounges, a stylish dining room, a library, a self-service bar, and a gift shop. To fully immerse yourself in the surrounding wilderness, there are inviting terraces with fire pits where guests can spend evenings enjoying the sounds of wildlife. On warm days, guests can unwind by the pool or relax in the indoor lounge with its breathtaking views of the delta.
The camp offers exceptional opportunities to connect with nature. Guided water excursions are led by professional guides who showcase the breathtaking beauty of the Okavango Delta. Visitors can explore it using motorboats or traditional mokoros — wooden canoes. For those who enjoy active pursuits, walking tours across the islands offer the chance to see land-based wildlife and the region's remarkable flora.
One of the most memorable experiences is spending a night under the open sky on a specially equipped terrace, available to guests staying three nights or more. A cosy bed with a mosquito net, a private bathroom, and all the necessary amenities ensure a comfortable and enchanting night beneath the stars.
Camp Okavango is a model of ecological responsibility. Its use of solar power, reverse osmosis systems for water purification, and biodegradable materials highlights the camp's commitment to preserving the ecosystem.
The camp warmly welcomes guests with children aged 6 and older.
