6 reasons to fall in love with South Africa:

Boulders Penguin Colony National Park, South Africa

A must-see of the natural wonders of South Africa.

Kruger National Park, South Africa

South Africa is a real treasure trove of natural attractions that will not leave even the most experienced traveller indifferent. Among the most attractive and popular locations, we would like to highlight such natural beauties as:

Cape Agulhas is the southern tip of the African continent. There is a lighthouse on the cape, which has been functioning for 170 years.

The Cape of Good Hope symbolises hope for Portuguese sailors, a keeper of the legend of The Flying Dutchman, and a home of various birds, animals, and plant species.

Hermanus is a South African resort that has become a hotspot for watching whales migrate to the coast yearly from July to November.

Kruger National Park is one of the world's most famous, oldest, and most significant nature reserves. This reserve is one of a kind because of its fauna and flora. The park's features include centuries-old gigantic baobab trees and magnificent landscapes: savannas, forests, and rivers.

Table Mountain has become an acknowledged symbol of Cape Town, being the central element on the city's flag. It also stands on the list of the Seven Wonders of Nature.

Blyde River Canyon is the third largest canyon in the world and is surrounded by picturesque rock formations, peaks, and gorges.

When to visit South Africa?

If you want to have the most thrilling experience on your South African trip, you should consider such aspects as climate and currents, as these factors heavily affect weather conditions.

The best season to visit Cape Town and the Garden Route is from August (when whales appear) until the end of March. Comfortable temperatures and strong winds are typical between April and May.

Durban's climate is warm, humid, and muggy from mid-December to late April, with a balmy and partly cloudy winter following.

The hot and rainy months are between November and February in Kruger Park. The most favourable time for a safari in South Africa is February to November. This is when the rainy season ends, and the land becomes dry and leafless, perfect for observing wildlife

The extraordinary KwaZulu-Natal "Sardine Run" begins every year between May and July. Millions of small silver fish and predators migrate along the Eastern Cape, and the migration is so massive that it can even be spotted from space.

The name of the world's largest and oldest visible meteorite crater is the Vredefort Dome, located in South Africa and formed about two billion years ago. This site is on the UNESCO World Heritage List.

During springtime - from late August until September - a semi-desert area called Namaqualand changes into an endless, vibrant carpet of wildflowers. This stunning Namaqualand Flower Route stretches 800 kilometres and attracts nature enthusiasts and photographers worldwide.

The country is home to the most scenic wine route in the world. South Africa is also one of the top ten wine producers around the globe.

South Africa is home to the world's largest cycling competition, the Cape Town Cycle Tour, which is 109 kilometres long. The race passes through the southern peninsula of Cape Town and scenic Chapman's Peak Drive. About 35,000 cyclists compete in the race.

Let South Africa capture your heart!
